Provisional go-ahead for AEG-Wembley deal

UNITED KINGDOM AEG's deal to manage London's 12,500-capacity Wembley Arena has been provisionally cleared by the Competition Commission (CC) ahead of its final report, which must be published by 5 September.

AEG, which also owns The O2 (cap.17,000) and co-owns Hammersmith Apollo (5,039) with German ticketing giant CTS Eventim, signed a management agreement with the arena's owner Quintain Estates & Development earlier this year, replacing previous incumbent Live Nation Entertainment.
