A three-year investigation by New York State attorney general Eric T. Schneiderman into ticket touting/scalping slams major promoters for holding back tickets for what it terms "insiders".
The report, Obstructed View: What's Blocking New Yorkers from Getting Tickets, found tat up to 54 per cent of a concert's inventory was reserved in this way.
It revealed that 20 per cent tickets for 14 shows promoted by Live Nation Entertainment (LNE) in 2012-2013 and by AEG Live in 2012-2015 were "reserved".
